Khan Md. Nurul Amin, ndc is the Chief of the General Economics Division, Bangladesh Planning Commission and an Additional Secretary of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre through a competitive examination on 1st April 1993 as an Assistant Commissioner. He served in the field administration in various capacities including Magistrate 1st class and Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (Chief Executive of Sub-District). He worked in the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Finance Division, Bank and Financial Intuitions Division, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Division. He also served in the Planning Division, Ministry of Planning. Not only that, he worked as a Director General of the Anti-corruption Commission, Bangladesh.
He equipped himself through various trainings from home and abroad.
Mr. Khan obtained Master of Arts in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and achieved MSc in Business and Financial Economics from the United Kingdom. He was awarded gold medal for attaining highest CGPA in Master of Arts in Governance and Development from BRAC University, Bangladesh. He successfully completed National Defence Course from National Defence College, Bangladesh.
He visited some countries for higher study, consultancy, and study tours.
The objective of Mr. Khan is to serve Bangladesh as a dynamic civil servant with honesty and sincerity.
