Regional Stakeholder Workshop on “Blue Economy for the Sustainable Development of Bangladesh”

A Regional Stakeholder Workshop on “Blue Economy for the Sustainable Development of Bangladesh” was held on 25 May 2025 at Uni Resort, Cox’s Bazar.

The workshop was organized by Delta Wing, General Economics Division (GED), Bangladesh Planning Commission under the project titled “Support to the Implementation of the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100”. Dr. Monzur Hossain, Member (Secretary), GED attended the workshop as Chief Guest. Ms. Dipanwita Saha, Joint Chief (Joint Secretary), GED chaired the workshop.

Participants from Delta related ministry, division, agency, District Administration, Cox’s Bazar, NGOs among others attended the workshop. The workshop was arranged to receive suggestions/opinions of the stakeholders for developing a study on “Blue Economy for the Sustainable Development of Bangladesh”. Fruitful discussions on Blue Economy were held.
