A consultation workshop on the “Role of Youth and Citizenship in the context of Policy Reforms” was organized by GED yesterday (14.1.2026). After the July uprising, empowerment of youth in terms of job creation, education, mental and physical health, etc. become an important part of policy reforms. Youth, to some extent, is in a state of crisis. A high rate of youth unemployment, drug addiction, online gambling, etc. are some issues of serious policy concerns. Dr. KAS Murshid, former Director General of BIDS made his key note presentation. GED Member, Dr. Monzur Hossain chaired the session. Participants from different ministries, agencies and NGOs attended the workshop.
